i cant think of a single thing that comes in a similar box ! why dont you buy the match boxes, use the boxes for a dresser and use the matches to glue together little mini crafts – in place of popsicle sticks . that way you get two crafts to do together . light and blow out all the matches first , you dont want to use “live” ones to make kid crafts. enjoy.

I would like to get a ‘carcass’ of a dolls house and kind of add the windows and doors etc myself.

I know that hobby craft did a plain house shape without doors etc but that was years ago and there isnt one around me to check if they still have one,

can anyone tell me where i can get one from?

They are actually called “Shells” not carcasses LOL

Real Good Toys sells shells: http://www.realgoodtoys.com/ (just do a search for shell), but even as shells, they do not run cheap.

If you know someone who has power tools (table saw) etc, you can always ask them to cut out the pieces for you from 1/4″ plywood. If its a basic shell of a colonial, it shouldn’t be too difficult to cut with a table saw and a router (for the doors & windows).

If you’re the crafty type and you have a lot of time, buying a kit might be a good alternative. The cheapest kits are from Greenleaf. Bare in mind, that their wood quality is not the best, so you will need to do lots of sanding and refinishing to get the pieces to fit together perfectly. And even though their wood is nothing to write home about, their designs are quite nice, is great for decorating, playing, and is quite sturdy if you glue it up with carpenter’s wood glue. If you do go this route, I suggest buying these from Overstock, as their prices are the cheapest I’ve found on the web (with cheap shipping too). Their “Laurel” kit is great for a beginner builder. try doing a stall at summer fairs an fetes an also carboots wich if worked right can earn good money you could also try printing a catalouge of your wares,or could even make a website to advertice them,or even a web newsletter

I had to read it in my junior lit class in high school.. and i thought it was very interesting.. several things in it can be inferred as symbols my fav part of a story is the symbols and metaphors.. also, I like how the characters sort of redeem themselves by the end.. it shows that good can come out of any situation.. i highly recommend this one.
