i make stuff like this all the time. buy one box of matches and unassemble it. measure sides base tabs ect the do same with the sleeve use art program to make templates using measurements from the box print it out and assemble your own boxes then they are completely hand-made.

Don’t know of any foodstuff that comes in exactly those boxes, but maybe you could do something with the little boxes of raisins that you put in the kids lunchbox? Or sometimes drawing pins come in similar boxes. Otherwise its back to the old method of asking people to save matchboxes for you.
I do remember making the furniture though & it was fun. Also used to make chairs from the corks out of medicine bottles (how long since anybody had one of those!!!!), pins & wool. You can do it with a piece of cork from a wine bottle. Cut a thick slice of cork, that will be the seat. Stick a row of pins, not too close together along the back of the seat & weave the wool in & out of the pins to make a chairback. 4 pins for legs & its done. You can do that with a conker instead of a cork as well – but they do have a tendency to go a bit mouldy!!

i agree i cant think of another box similar, you can buy matches relatively cheap, and will always come in handy, you could always ask around friends and family to collect them for you?
